We Are Kite

We know that glasses matter. Whether you wear prescription glasses, sunglasses or both, your eyewear says a lot about you. That’s why we take eyewear very seriously. We’re committed to delivering only the very best at every step of the KITE production journey: the best designers; the best materials; the best lenses.

The Process

A concept and design studio in London. Cutting-edge factories across Italy. Iconic German ZEISS lenses. The finest materials, such as premium, bespoke acetate by industry leaders Mazzucchelli. These ingredients come together to create glasses like no other. Ten pairs of skilled hands and eyes oversee the 30 stages of production that bring every single pair of KITEs into existence. At KITE, we believe in a commitment to quality and craftsmanship, to innovation and adventure. KITE glasses are not made, but born. And every pair is completely unique – just like you.

Lenses

Each and every pair of KITEs is fitted with ZEISS lenses from Germany. It's hard to tell when looking at a lens what makes it special. But with ZEISS, the details matter. Their inimitable optical lenses contain Digital Inside® Technology – lens innovation developed by ZEISS to address the impact that modern day digital lifestyle has on our eyesight. Exclusive to ZEISS, this technology provides the best vision experience and protection for today's digital world, eliminating the feeling of eye strain.

About Us

London, 2014: KITE was founded with a spirit of curiosity and a commitment to hand-crafted, artisanal eyewear design. Meet the A-team. Asad, Amar, Adarsh. Three founders, brought together by a shared vision for a new way of thinking about eyewear. In Asad Hamir, a lineage of optometry and a pedigree in eyewear (he’s the 28th optometrist in a family of over 45). In Amar and Adarsh Radia, an entrepreneurial spirit that’s been burning since the brothers co-founded and launched the hugely successful Dishoom Bombay Cafes in 2010.
